When you visit us, you’ll notice right away that this is no ordinary church!  You’ll feel the very presence of God and be uplifted as our worship team leads our worship time!  You'll be encouraged by a down-to-earth message that you can apply to your daily life and make it better - the minute you walk out the door.  It’s a place to belong and feel at home - where the dress is casual and the coffee is free. Most who have visited our church say  “there’s no place like Bethel”!  We know it's true, but we invite you to come find out for yourself – we’d love to meet you……

-Who We Are -

Bethel Church is a non-denominational, multi-cultural, Spirit-filled church and has been since its birth in 1979, when it was founded by Butch and Judy Farnum.  The Farnums faithfully pastored the church for twenty-five years, until they transferred leadership in 2004 to Joey and Renée Bozard, a son and daughter of Bethel.  The Farnums continue to be active members of Bethel and reside as founding elders on the church's leadership team.

We believe in accountability and the importance of being globally connected, and are partnered with DOVE Christian Fellowship International, based in Lititz, PA.  DOVE exists to facilitate and nurture meaningful relationships among Christian leaders, equipping and enabling them to be more effective in their callings, for the purpose of building and multiplying strong local churches around the world.  We purpose to reach our world from house to house, city to city and nation to nation.  For more information on DOVE, click here.

Our mission is simple:  to attract and lead the unsaved to Jesus (WIN); to encourage Christians to consecrate themselves to God’s purpose in their lives (DISCIPLE); to equip believers for effective ministry (TRAIN); and reach the Orangeburg area and beyond (SEND).
